The government wants to expand the Lok Sabha from 543 seats to about
816. They're using women's reservation as the reason to move fast.

In 2023, Parliament reserved a third of all seats for women — with
one condition buried inside: it only kicks in after this delimitation
happens. Shashi Tharoor's words in Parliament: this "holds the
aspirations of Indian women hostage."

Amit Shah told Parliament south India's seats go from 129 to 195 —
their share of the house staying almost the same, around 24%.

Sounds settled, right?
